David Hunt and Ann Hunt O'Neill are a brother/sister in-law team with a combined experience of more than forty years working in the food industry. Self described as "foodies" David and Ann's individual food passions complement each other very well; for example, hand made pie topped with home made ice cream.

Ann has a love for baking which dates back to her childhood. Influenced by both her parent's cooking talents, she still remembers family recipes and is rewarded by continuing to bake and cook to please. Her artistic flare for presentation is evident when you gaze through the bakery cases at the fruit and cream pies, tarts, cookies, cupcakes and other wonderful treats.

David's college business major led him to a path of self employment. He has enjoyed the success of several franchise businesses as well as a few ventures of his own. The idea of making ice cream and creating new flavors always appealed to him but he wanted to incorporate a unique concept into his ultimate goal.

Ann and David started discussing a business partnership where both of them could work at doing what they loved most, baking and ice cream making. Neither one wanted to look back and say " I should have, could have . . . " and so it was agreed to go for it! In short, with the marriage of pies and ice cream, "pies a la mode" was born.

They opened their unique, slightly eclectic little shop mid September 2006, in the beautiful Cape Cod Town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. The business continues to evolve and they are pleasantly pleased with the reputation they have established. Mail order sales may happen in the future, but at the present time they are working seven days a week, continuously developing new recipes for their baked goods, ice cream and Italian gelato.
